Your information
Privacy Notice
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This notice covers timeclaw.app, the TimeClaw web experience and messages you send to our company mailboxes. TimeClaw LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, operates these services and is responsible for the processing described here. Contact contact@timeclaw.app with privacy or removal requests. Future native apps may have additional notices reflecting their actual features.
Information we process
- Website requests: hosting systems process request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, time and errors to deliver and protect the website. Login and signup abuse controls use a hashed IP value in temporary counters.
- Your profile: when you create a web profile, we save your handle, email, profile identifier, creation time and an eligible referring handle, if supplied.
- Your week: information you submit can include estimates and plans across nine life areas, your Type, time allocations derived from onboarding, desired areas of change, work or study category, childcare category, and the difference between initial and confirmed allocations. The day ledger stores dates, areas, durations and any labels you choose to add.
- Public sharing: your handle, Type and shared weekly time allocation appear on your public share page once you save your week. Anyone with the URL can view or share it. Your email and private day ledger entries are not displayed on that page. Share page visits are recorded with the shared handle and visit time.
- Correspondence: if you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you include. A mobile update request is made by sending an email; opening a draft does not submit a request.
Why we use it
We use profile and time budget data to provide the experience you request, restore your web profile, calculate your Type and show your plan, ledger and share page. Where applicable, this processing is necessary to provide our service under our terms. We use limited operational records to maintain reliability, prevent abuse and understand use of public share pages on the basis of our legitimate interests, taking your rights into account. We process information where needed to meet legal obligations.
We use correspondence to answer your request. If you explicitly request mobile launch updates, we use your email for those updates on the basis of your consent where required. Creating a web profile or accepting the terms does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing. You can withdraw an update request at any time by emailing our contact address.
Cookies and browser storage
The web experience uses tc_sess to remember your early access profile, with a maximum lifetime of one year. When you use the time budgeting pages, tc_tz records your browser timezone, also for up to one year, so days follow your local calendar. These support the service you request. You can clear them using browser settings; doing so signs you out or resets timezone recognition, but does not delete stored account data.
The public company and policy pages do not need a tracking cookie. This website does not load advertising pixels or third party analytics SDKs, and does not persist landing page A/B variants. Server request logs and the share page visit records described above still exist.
Providers and access
Vercel hosts the website and processes web requests. Supabase provides the production database for profiles and time budget records. Vercel Blob is also configured as a storage service for the earlier web implementation; records still held there are subject to the same request process. Porkbun currently manages our timeclaw.app mailboxes. These providers process information needed to deliver their services; authorized people working for TimeClaw may access information to operate the service and respond to requests. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information.
Authorized work from Europe, Asia or United States and the processing locations of our providers can involve international access. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer, those safeguards must be in place before that processing begins. This notice does not claim that Delaware formation keeps data in the United States.
Retention and removal
We retain profile and time budget information while providing your web profile, unless you request removal or it is no longer needed for that purpose. We retain update requests until you withdraw, the requested updates have been sent, or the request is no longer relevant. Correspondence is kept as needed to resolve the request and retain necessary business or legal records. Operational records are kept only as needed for troubleshooting, abuse prevention and our providers’ applicable retention settings; we do not claim an automatic deletion schedule that has not been verified.
To request access, correction or removal, email contact@timeclaw.app, preferably from your profile email, with your handle and what you want us to do. The TimeClaw team reviews requests and may ask for proportionate verification. Removal is handled by the team, not by clearing cookies. Limited records may remain where legally required, and backup copies may persist until their normal replacement; public copies saved by other people or search engines are outside our direct control.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of your information, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. We respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, including the CNIL in France or the authority in your European country of residence.
Security and children
We use access controls and secure transport supported by our providers, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. This web experience is early access and uses an interim profile/login system. Do not enter sensitive personal information in your handle or ledger labels, and remember that share pages are public.
The service is intended for people able to use it under the laws that apply to them. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has supplied information should contact us for review and removal. Where local law requires a higher age or parental authorization, that requirement applies.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when our practices change and show the updated date above. We will provide additional notice or seek consent when required by law.
